How much time does it take to digest food?... Worth knowing

  

  • Fruits: 20 minutes to 1 hour

  • Fruit juice: 30 minutes

  • Salad: 20 to 30 minutes

  • Soup: About 45 minutes

  • Cooked vegetables: About 1 to 2 hours

  • Beans and sprouts: About 2 hours

  • Lentils and chickpeas: 2 to 3 hours
  • Grains (wheat, rice): 2 to 3 hours

  • Mixed grains: 2 to 6 hours

  • Milk and milk products: 1 to 2 hours

  • Paneer and cheese: 6 to 8 hours

  • Fried food: 8 to 10 hours

  • Tea and coffee: 20 to 22 hours

  • Non-vegetarian food: 6 to 72 hours
