| The replica of Rashtrapati Bhavan kitchen displayed in Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, Delhi. |
Once the menu is decided and the green light is received from the Rashtrapati Bhavan office, the menu card goes to the Rashtrapati Bhavan printing press for printing. The cards, printed with gold ink, detail dishes ranging from soup to dessert, and feature the Indian royal seal---the figure of four lions and the words Rashtrapati Bhavan!!!Meanwhile, the head chef and his team start working in the kitchenwith great enthusiasm. The vegetables and fruits used in this come directly from the kitchen garden as per the protocol, which is the produce taken without using any kind of chemical ,Pesticides or Fertilizer.Which is directly delivered to the air-conditioned kitchen. There, the assistant chef separates the best fruits for cooking and starts cutting them!!!! This cutting work is also equally laborious and requires skill!!It's a Example of Skill, Dedication,Perfection, Cleanliness.... Everything.
Now let's talk about the grandeur of the kitchen... The kitchen built on the ground floor of Rashtrapati Bhavan is divided into a total of seven sections. Only bakery items like bread, biscuits, cakes, etc. are prepared in one place.Another section known as Halwai, where traditional Indian desserts like Jalebi, Rabdi, Gulab Jamun, Malpua etc. are made. There is a separate section for steamed dishes like idli, dhokla, khaman, and additionally a separate section for items made with highheat like pizza, baked dishes. When there is no banquet for guests, there is a separate section called the "Family Kitchen" for tea, snacks, and meals for the President. There is a section called Research and Development, in which new dishes are developed regularly!!!!!!Consider it a research laboratory. A research laboratory in food too!!!!! This only happens in the kitchen of Rashtrapati Bhavan!!! (to be cont.....)
